We
are surrounded by radiation every day.
It's simply an unavoidable fact of life.
There are some things that can be done
however to reduce your daily exposure
once you know where the exposure is
coming from.
Most
people have heard of the danger from
coming from Granite countertops emitting Radon
Gas (Which In Turn Emits Radiation),
but few people realize their potential
exposure from simple household items
like certain dishes and common gemstones
used in jewelry. Even certain old
watches and clocks contain radioactive
materials which should be avoided when
ever possible.
Is
your home "safe" from radiation?
Unfortunately, since radiation can not
be detected by our human senses, like
seeing or smelling it. The
only way to know for sure is to have
your home tested.
I
can test your home and/or personal
items for certain types of
Ionizing Radiation. Specifically, Alpha, Beta,
And Gamma.
"Ionizing Radiation is a known cause of
cancer and other adverse
effects." (http://rex.nci.nih.gov/NCI_Pub_Interface/raterisk/risks90.html)
Radiation as you may have guessed is not
the healthiest thing to expose yourself
to when given a choice. Radiation
even effects smokers as referenced
below.

If
you do have concerns, now you can find
out for sure.
Personally, I
believe "Better Safe Than Sorry" |
